SECRET BALI BEATMASTERS FEATURING WISDY

Wisdy is one of the most popular and longstanding DJ’s on the island, most commonly known as the main resident alongside his lifelong friend Mamsa as the residents of Jenja. You could not wish to meet a more humble yet talented DJ who truly understands and is also connected with the European electronic scene through his DJ work and most recently, critically acclaimed productions in the studio.

Wisdy is soon to be releasing one of his tracks on a Berlin based label as part of an interesting compilation and that track is the focus for the latest edition of our Beatmaster series:

It was produced earlier in 2019 and signed in May to Dantze Records, a Berlin Based Label imprint of Niconé for a compilation called the Sunburn Compilation.

WHAT WAS YOUR INSPIRATION FOR THE TRACK?
A driving track with flowing spicy synth into the labyrinth, and reciprocating percussion inspired by Virginia, Pablo Escobar’s mistress and his labyrinth love affair story from the book Loving Pablo, Hating Escobar.

WHAT EQUIPMENT DID YOU USE?
One shot samples from anywhere, to create my own 4/4 loops and mixing them down with DAW, for now, Ableton.
