The Artotel in Sanur has been synonymous with sporadic art based happenings often accompanied with a well curated music programme such as the bi-annual Sprites Festival, always pushing local talent from within and outside the shoreline of Bali but this time they have really pulled something significant and wonderful out the bag in the shape of  Odyssey Music and Art Festival.

Set to take place over 4 days the event will take in talks, art installations, music from both electronic and live fields with acts from around the island, Indonesia and across the globe, all set to take part with the music centric festival action taking place on the 11th, 12th, and 13th of October. This truly promises to be a very special event as the venue itself is beautifully positioned on the white sandy shores of the Sanur coastline.

First of all lets have a look at the line-up of local talent. They have really done a great job of collecting several of the most credible and renowned crews from Bali and beyond including Wake Up Iris, Asteriska, Fadi, Mickey Moran, TANTRA, and several Jakarta-Bali based Collective Events such as Calypso, Dekadenz, PNNY, Sunset People Project, Tantrà, and Tech On Sunday

Live music will come courtesy of Asteriska, reggae fusion live looper Krisna Floop, island legends Rollfast, and the delightful soul music of Wake Up Iris, and art responsibilities will fall mainly on the able shoulders of I Putu Adi Suanjaya, Nus Solomon, Jessica Auditama & OUAUI as well as Live Mural art performances by graf artist don Zent Prozen!

Then of course there is Rollfast, a Bali based rock indie band who never fail to rock the joint!

Then of course there is the really mouth watering and cleverly curated International line-up featuring the likes of Noir, Wehbba, Tobtok, Bolier, Little Boots (DJ Set), MARTEN HØRGER, Rafael Cerato, Oscar L, and Alexander Alar!!!

Get a taste of one of the headliners, Noir, listening to his most recent Techno mix in which he smoothly adds additional drums on top of the mixing!

Rafael Cerato to sweeten the deal! Watch him moving the crowd at Fantomas Rooftop in Moscow.

Little Boots is also coming to the island to play a DJ set which we know a lot of people are excited about…

We also had a catch up with Bharata Yudha, Creative & Event Manager of the Artotel group who has been responsible for the production and preparation of this massive showcase of talent to find out more!

WHAT IS YOUR ROLE AT ARTOTEL?

I’m working as Creative & Event Manager for ARTOTEL Group HQ; ARTOTEL has 4 pillars of its business unit, one of them is ARTOTEL Play, so I’m inside that pillar.

ARTOTEL HAS BEEN SYNONYMOUS WITH SUPPORTING LOCAL ARTISTS AND MUSICIANS, CAN YOU TELL US MORE ABOUT THE BRANDS ETHOS WHEN IT COMES TO SUPPORTING THE ARTS?

ARTOTEL Group always supports local acts, whether its from art, music, creatives from any kind of industry and platform. Back in 2011 when ARTOTEL Group was born, it refers to play word of art and hotel, where it combines art and hotel, the hotel itself as a platform to showcase artworks from emerging local artists. As time goes by, and the business developed, stay or hotel is not the only platform, now we have Dine which features many concept restaurants, Play where we work as an event organizer making bridges between creative industries and many brands, and Shop, our official merchandise channel.
