ARTIST FOCUS: ELI BROWN

Still standing as the #1 best selling artist on beatport, it’s no wonder Eli Brown quickly established himself as a standout artist with real distinction in the house music world. With his recordings making a rapid impact on the industry’s biggest names, and being one of dance music’s most innovative and forward-thinking talents – He brings gritty dance floor hits packed with vibrant club energy and sparkling tech house beats to his sets.

Having grown up in Bristol, Brown was exposed to a genre of musical influences rich in diversity – from Jungle, Rave music, Dum n’ Bass to House. His musical saga has defined his sound in a heaving House Music scene, helping him tower above the competition. His talents have amassed key support from every nook and cranny of the dance music spectrum, from the likes of Carl Cox, Green Velvet, Fisher, Claude VonStroke, Black Madonna to Calvin Harris, all putting their stamp of approval on Brown’s productions. Renowned for their sinister approach, creating twisted dance floor hits packed with vibrant club-ready energy, his productions single him out for his gritty style.

Being self-taught, not only with his mad skills behind the turn-table, but also with his powerful production prowess. Eli’s hard work paid off when his route to stardom was fast-tracked with Skream signing his ‘Can You Feel It/Acid’ EP to his ‘Of Unsound Mind’ label, in December 2016. This debut led to both a follow-up EP ‘Got the Power’ in April 2017, as well as, a collaboration with Skream himself on ‘Lagos’. His 2017 track ‘Sumatra’ – released on Toolroom – proved to be one of the biggest selling tracks of that year, with BBC Radio 1 tastemakers Annie Mac and Monki offering continued support on the airwaves.

With an assured house catalogue already under his belt, Brown gained support from established figures in the house world and found his music resonating well with his fans. With labels like Steve Lawler’s Viva music, Toolroom Records and Lee Foss’s Repopulate Mars championing Brown, he ultimately rose to dominate in his field. Adding the likes of Green Velvet’s Relief Records, Solardo’s Sola and Elrow to his ever-expanding accomplishments, along the way.

2018 saw Eli Brown balance a stacked release schedule, with a busy tour diary. He made his first appearance at Miami Music Week, toured to South America – including two separate runs to Ecuador and Brazil – and also made his debut at the iconic London club, Fabric, which was the highlight of the year for Brown.

Making moves into 2019, it’s clear that Eli is showing no signs of slowing down. The UK producer has been on a prolific streak with anthems like ‘Brazil’ on Repopulate Mars, ‘Inside My Head’ on Black Book Records, ‘Our Love’ with Truesoul and ‘BS48’ with Big Beat, causing damage on the international club circuit. We’re not done yet – not to mention his debut releases for Ultra Records, Alan Fitzpatrick’s ‘We are the Brace and Defected’. Plus, his recent collaboration with Solardo ‘XTC that’s currently hitting the dizzy heights of daytime Radio 1, after becoming Annie Mac’s ‘Hottest Record in the World’ (Eli Brown’s second hottest record in less than six months!).

As summer 2019 comes to an end, Brown steps onto the global stage to announce his first work tour, ‘Come Together World Tour’, off the back of his ‘Come Together’ EP (We are the Brave). Over the course of 3 months, the tour will see him reach every corner of the globe – including debut performances in Singapore and Japan, as well as his highly anticipated return to strong-holds like USA, Canada, Brazil and Ibiza.
