GOING IN DEEP WITH UK RAP LEGEND DABBLA

North London's MC Dabbla spent his formative years spitting on London's legendary pirate radio stations Freeze FM and Rinse, his youth rooted in a love of jungle and garage. This led to Dabbla being involved in 3 integral crews from the UK Rap scene including London Zoo akd LDZ, Dead Players and Problem Child with other well known characters from the UK rap scene including Dubbledge, Jam Baxter, GhostTown, Sumgii and Illaman.

Dabbla’s early mix of influences imprinted heavily on his first solo LP -'Year Of The Monkey' - which landed on High Focus in 2016 ( ‘Undeniable original, with a proper North London swagger at its heart.'- Guestlist ). Featuring a cocktail of raw grime, trap and boom bap, the album debuted an eclecticism which has become his signature. As an artist, his lyrics pull from the mess and madness of London's underground, and from a sometimes-contrary passion for Eastern Philosophy. The success of Year of the Monkey launched him onto festival stages of Outlook, Boomtown and Glastonbury, fuelling collaborations with Sukh Knight & Foreign Beggars.

By some strange quirks of the universe Dabbla is set to do a couple of shows in Bali this month including at THE LINE IN THE SAND at Old Mans where he will not only be performing a live set but has also been roped in to host the night as the ring announcer which will certainly keep the event lively no matter what happens in the ring! We managed to pin the main man down for not only a 1,2,3 but also a 4 and a 5 selection of tracks that inspire him so you know what to expect on April 13th at the THE LINE IN THE SAND AT OLD MANS!!!

Dabbla will ALSO be headlining a second show in April at The Vault at the Orange Soda event on Saturday APRIL 20th!!!
